Cross or crucifix: what is the difference?
A crucifix depicts Jesus crucified on the cross. A cross may be plain or carry other Christian imagery or words. If you are choosing a Catholic crucifix, look closely at the figure and composition rather than relying on the product name alone. Catholic art includes both bare crosses and depictions of the Crucified Christ. Catholic Answers discusses this distinction and preference.
For a gift, follow the recipient's own practice. A familiar devotional image can feel more personal than the largest or most ornate design.
Choose for the space you have
For a bedside wall or small prayer corner, measure the open area first. For a living room or entryway, mark out the intended footprint with paper before deciding on a larger piece. Check width and depth as well as height, especially near shelving, doorways or furniture.
Size names in a selector are not necessarily a full set of measured dimensions. Use the product's confirmed measurements when available. If a measurement or mounting detail is missing, ask before ordering. Do not assume that a wall cross stands independently or that hanging hardware is included.

Materials and color options
Check materials on the individual product rather than assuming every cross uses the same wood. A color name describes a selectable appearance; it does not, by itself, identify the wood species or the surface treatment.
Compare the product photographs with the tones already in the room. Look at the selected option again before adding it to your cart, particularly when a design offers several combinations of size and color.
Gifts for a home and a life of faith
A cross or crucifix can be a considered housewarming, Confirmation or anniversary gift for someone who would welcome Christian art. Think about the recipient's beliefs, the image they prefer and where the piece could go. For a wedding or anniversary, consider whether the couple would value a devotional design or a relationship-centered keepsake.

Questions before you choose
What size crucifix is best for a living room?
There is no single best size. Measure the available wall area, check the full product dimensions and consider how far away you will view it. A paper outline helps you judge proportion without guessing.
Which style suits a Catholic or Christian home?
Follow the household's own devotional practice. For a home that favors the image of Christ crucified, explore the Holy Trinity Crucifix above. For a cross centered on a word of faith, compare the Faith, Hope and Love designs. Catholics are Christians; these are design choices, not a rule that separates two kinds of household.
Can a wooden cross be displayed on a shelf?
Only if that product supports tabletop display or has the appropriate stand. Check the listing's placement details; do not balance a wall-mounted design on a shelf.
Are all the crosses made from the same wood?
No collection-wide wood species is specified here. Use the material information for the exact product and option you select.
Is a cross a suitable religious gift?
It can be, when it fits the recipient's faith and tastes. A simple cross, a crucifix and an image of a particular saint carry different visual and devotional emphasis.
Rose Cross or Ascension of Jesus Cross: which should I choose?
Choose the Rose Cross wall art if you prefer a floral cross design. Its current options include Retro Color and Gold Painted finishes. Choose the Ascension of Jesus Wood Cross if you prefer a scene centered on Jesus within the cross. Follow the recipient's preference for imagery, then compare the selected finish and size on the product page.
Both listings currently offer nominal 10-, 14- and 20-inch options; the Rose Cross also lists a 40-inch option. Size labels are not full finished measurements. Confirm height, width, depth and mounting requirements for the exact option before ordering. Check product-specific preparation times for large pieces, and use our wooden cross placement and size guide to plan the available space.
How should I plan delivery for a gift?
For standard in-stock items delivered to the United States, allow approximately 8–15 business days: 1–3 business days for processing and 7–12 business days in transit after dispatch. These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Personalized, made-to-order, out-of-stock production and large or sea-freight items may take longer.
Listed sizes of 25 inches and above are made to order. Before payment, contact MOKARVE with the design, size, finish and destination for a production and freight quote. The current shipping policy lists 10–20 calendar days for production, followed by 7–12 calendar days for air freight or 20–35 calendar days for sea freight. This gives estimated totals of 17–32 or 30–55 calendar days respectively. The standard $99.99 free-shipping promotion does not apply to these sizes; any free sea freight is subject to confirmation and air freight requires an additional quoted charge. For a fixed gift date, confirm the selected item and destination before ordering.
